Wedding invite video

What is a wedding invite video, and how is one made with AI and a human team?

Ivory cover with a gold arch and our monogram, titled: What is a wedding invite video, and how is one made with AI and a human team?

Not so long ago, a wedding invitation was a card. Then it became a card and a photo of the card, sent on WhatsApp. Today, more and more couples are sending something that feels closer to the way their families actually talk to each other: a short film.

A wedding invite video is exactly that — a short, vertical film that tells your guests who you are, invites them to celebrate with you, and carries the practical details they need. It is made to be watched on a phone, forwarded to family groups, and watched again.

This guide explains what goes into one, why couples choose them, and how we make ours with AI-powered cinematic tools and a human creative team.

What a wedding invite video actually is

At its simplest, a wedding invite video is a digital invitation in motion. A good one has three parts:

  • A story. Something only the two of you could send — how you met, the places you love, the trip where everything changed, the little joke your friends still tease you about.
  • An invitation. The words your families would say if they were calling every guest themselves: names, blessings, the date, the venue.
  • The details. Functions, timings and venues, in the language your guests read most comfortably.

Ours are up to 60 seconds long and made in vertical 9:16, so they fill a phone screen and play smoothly on WhatsApp and Instagram. That length matters: it is long enough to feel like a little film, and short enough that an aunt will watch it to the end — and then forward it to everyone.

Why couples choose a video over a card

A printed card is beautiful, and many families still send one. But most guests now receive the invitation on their phone first. A video makes the most of that moment.

It feels personal. A card can be lovely and still look like a hundred others in the same family group. A film built around your story can only belong to you.

It travels well. A vertical MP4 is easy to forward on WhatsApp, share on Instagram, and keep in a chat for when someone needs the date again.

It carries more. Different functions, different venues, a dress code, a note to out-of-town guests — a short film can hold all of that without feeling crowded.

It can speak your families' language. Invite text can be in English, Hindi or Marathi, so grandparents and cousins alike read it comfortably.

How AI and a human team work together

We want to be honest about how our invites are made, because it matters. We use AI-powered cinematic tools and a human creative team. Neither would be enough on its own.

What the human team does

Everything that makes the film yours starts with people:

  • Listening. Every invite begins with a free 15-minute story call. We ask how you met, which places matter, and what feeling you'd like — romantic, playful, grand or quiet.
  • Writing. We shape your story into a few short scenes and write (or polish) your invite text.
  • Directing. We decide what each scene shows, how long it lasts, and how it moves into the next.
  • Choosing music and pace. The rhythm of an invite is a human decision. Music is licensed or royalty-free.
  • Reviewing every frame. Nothing leaves us without a person checking it.

What the AI tools do

AI-powered tools let us bring scenes to life from your photos — places you've been, or places you dream of going — in a way that would otherwise need a film crew and a travel budget. A balcony in Mumbai, a sunset in Goa, a street market in Bangkok, a letter in Paris: these can all become part of your story.

There is one thing worth knowing. Because the people in your film are generated from your photos, the likeness may not be exact. That is why we review every frame carefully, and why your 2 rounds of revisions are there — so you can tell us if something doesn't quite feel like you. Nothing is filmed or photographed by us, and we never pretend otherwise.

What we need from you

To make your invite, we ask for:

  • 8–15 photos of the two of you — clear and well-lit, with a mix of close-ups and full-length photos.
  • Your story — on the call, and anything you'd like to add afterwards.
  • Your invite text — names, date, venue, timings, and how you'd like your families named. If you're not sure how to phrase it, we'll help.
  • The feeling you're hoping for.

Please share only photos you have permission to use. Your photos, story details and project files are deleted from our systems and from the AI tools we use within 30 days of final delivery, or sooner on request.

From story call to finished film

Here's how an invite comes together:

  1. A free story call. 15 relaxed minutes at a time that suits you. You can also reserve your date first, if you already know you'd like to work with us.
  2. The advance. A 50% advance through a secure Razorpay link we send on WhatsApp — never on our website.
  3. We create. Your film is ready in 5–7 working days after your story call is completed and your photos are received. If you're short on time, rush delivery gets it to you within 24 hours of your story call.
  4. Revisions. 2 rounds are included, requested within 7 days of delivery.
  5. Delivery. Once the balance is paid, we send your final MP4 on WhatsApp or as a download link.

You can read every step in detail on our How it works page.

What it costs

Our Custom Wedding Invite Video is ₹4,000, inclusive of all taxes. Rush delivery is an add-on at +₹1,999. If you'd also like a WhatsApp assistant to answer your guests' questions about venues, timings and dress codes, the WhatsApp Guest Concierge is available as an add-on at ₹14,999. Everything is on our pricing page.

Watch one before you decide

The best way to understand a wedding invite video is to watch one. Our sample film, Prachi & Harsh, follows a fictional couple from a balcony dream to Goa, Thailand and a letter in Paris that becomes their save the date. You can watch it on our work page.

A few honest questions to ask any studio

Whoever you choose, it's worth asking:

  • Is it made around our story, or is it a template with our names dropped in?
  • Do you use AI, and if so, how? A good studio will tell you plainly.
  • What happens to our photos afterwards?
  • How many rounds of revisions are included, and how long do we have to ask?
  • What exactly is included in the price?

You deserve clear answers to all of them.
